ABOUT THIS GAME

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is an first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and published by Activision. It is the sixth installment of the Black Ops series, and the seventeenth installment in the overall Call of Duty series.

Black Ops Cold War is set during the early 1980s of the Cold War. Its campaign follows CIA officer Russell Adler as he pursues an alleged Soviet spy, Perseus, whose stated goal is to subvert the United States and tilt the balance of power toward the Soviet Union. Multiplayer will have new game modes, more extensive customization, and new map dynamics and elements.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set during the Cold War in the early 1980s. The story is inspired by actual events and the campaign features locations such as East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, and the Soviet KGB headquarters. Players can create a custom character for the campaign, codenamed Bell, with options for different skin tones, ethnic backgrounds and genders, as well as different personality traits that provide in-game perks. The campaign will have multiple endings, dependent on player choice throughout the campaign.

Call of Duty®: Black Ops Mac Edition will take you behind enemy lines as a member of an elite special forces unit engaging in covert warfare.

MULTIPLAYER

Multiplayer features new and returning game modes, as well as maps that accommodate both the traditional 6v6 format, as well as larger 12v12 combat. The game also introduced a new game mode named «Fireteam», which can support up to 40 players. The Create-a-Class system from Modern Warfare returns, with two major differences: field upgrades are implemented as part of class loadouts, and each class has a wildcard choice out of four possible ones: Gunfighter (allows up to 8 primary weapon attachments), Perk Greed (allows 2 perks from each perk type for a total of 6 usable perks), Danger Close (double grenade equipment), or Lawbreaker (allows mixing and matching any weapon/perk type in any slot). It will also support cross-platform play. In addition, the progression system for multiplayer will be integrated with Call of Duty: Warzone, meaning that gears and weapons unlocked in Cold War can be used in Warzone and vice versa.

ZOMBIES

Black Ops Cold War Zombies features a new storyline titled «Dark Aether» which expands on the original Aether story, concluded in Black Ops 4, while also tying to the main narrative of the campaign. Instead of playing as predefined characters, players can take on the role of Operator characters from Multiplayer, as part of a CIA response team codenamed «Requiem». Progression and loadouts from Multiplayer are shared with Zombies, as players are able to use any weapon to start a Zombies match, alongside Gunsmith, scorestreaks and field upgrades, in addition to returning mechanics such as wallbuys, the Mystery Box, Pack-a-Punch and past Fan Favorite Perks. For the first time in Zombies, players can opt to «exfil» the map, which will put them in a difficult wave with increased enemy spawn that they must survive before they can escape. Collectible intels are also scattered around the playable maps, allowing players to keep track of and unfold the main story as they progress. A new game mode, Zombies Onslaught, is introduced exclusively to PlayStation players until November 1, 2021. In this mode, which are played within Multiplayer maps, up to 2 players defend areas grounded off by the Dark Aether orb, which must be powered by zombie kills. Sufficient kills will move the orb to new positions, forcing the players to move or die outside of the orb’s protection zone.

Late 2010 13' MBA. The internal display has just started flickering. This is completely absent at half-brightness (say, the way the screen dims when idle), but at full brightness it's VERY noticeable. Not affected by whether or not I'm plugged in. Just started today. No effect from sleeping, rebooting, power cycling, etc.
I'm just guessing that this means I have to drop it off at an Apple Store and wait a week, doesn't it.

I think that's a much more likely possibility. It's smart to patent anything you invent, even if you have no intention of using it for anything.
I agree with you. I'm not completely convinced that Apple is going to ever implement a full screen video iPod. Remember, a lot of the things that we mac fans are just 'SURE' Grand Master Stevie is going to do never materialize (i.e., when is that G5 PB coming out again?:p ) for one reason or another.
It looks nice. We'll see what happens. For now, I'm still happy with my 20 gig U2 Ed. iPod.

    1. Apple officially announces that Boot Camp will be part of Leopard.
    2. VMWare announces their product for OS X.
    3. Microsoft kills VPC for Mac as it becomes pointless and sort of redundant.
After all, if they can sell the regular version of Windows to intel Mac users, why bother wasting money on something other companies are doing (VMWare and Parallels).
You want Windows on your Mac, use Boot Camp/buy VMWare or Parallels and then buy Windows like everyone else. No extra R&D funds/time required to enter the 'Mac market', which thanks to Boot Camp is 'all intel Mac users'.
    It's a simple business decision.
Yeah, this joke has been around forever. It originally was used when Windows 95 first came out. It isn't technically valid for NT, 2000, XP, or Vista. Those are just 32-bit (or 64-bit) OSes by a 2 bit company. :-D
Well, how about 'Windows Vista: a 64-bit OS that can almost emulate a 32 bit shell running on a 16 bit extension of an 8 bit OS designed for a 4 bit CPU, made by a 2 bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.'? ;-)

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but this is most likely for cameras that either have GPS integrated already (and some do) or for cameras like the Nikon D200 or D2X that have a port on the side specifically for hooking up a GPS device like this one:
    http://www.redhensystems.com/products/video_collection_hardware/d2x-gps.asp
Since the EXIF standard contains a flag for GPS-data, they just didn't finish the feature yet. They will.
So no, the iPhone isn't going to be a gps camera pda music playing satellite radio streaming HDTV. Get over it. The iPhone already came out, and flopped (how many ROKRs do you see?) My guess is that if Apple really wants to move into that space, they're going to have to serriously look at their market, and their network partner.
Though Cingular has more users, Verizon and Sprint both have the high-speed data networks capable of integrating a phone with iTunes. Cingular simply doesn't. Verizon users spend, on average, more on downloads than any other non-MVNO provider.
Oh, and as for GPS already being in phones, it's there. Every phone sold after 01/01/04 had to have a GPS tracking device installed for use in Emergency situations. Providers were given six years to get a 95% adoption rate. Ever notice that little crosshair in the top? That means you've got a GPS lock. With SiRF-III GPS chips, you can be pretty well underground and still get a signal, esp. when it's repeated by your cell towers.
This isn't an iPhone clue. Get over yourselves.

Hi everyone - being a newbie the following:
Just installed a bigger and faster new HD in the mini - is there any way to start the OS installation without a wired keybd? (i.e pressing 'c' ) all I get now is some DVD churning sounds and a grey screen telling me to restart the machine.
If there is no way - how would I go about ejecting the darned DVD out of the mini without taking everything apart?
    hoping for some good answers.

The use of restraint without launching into an extended Dragonforce or Joe Satriani showoff solo was a good move.
lack of talent maybe haha? i thought a lot of it was very simple but well put together.
The prudent use of double bass on the drums was good as lesser bands would over do the double bass drum beat.
argh i hate that term, i always think of an actual double bass and not the actual term of 'double kick'.

So I have two wireless controllers for my xbox, and I would like to use one of them with my macbook. My question is, is there something I can buy to make my wireless controller wired? I don't really want to buy a whole new controller, as I don't really need it.
I know with the play and charge kit, it plugs your controller into the xbox, but I'm guessing that is for the battery only, and the controller continues to send signals wirelessly.
I have a feeling there isn't a way, but it never hurts to ask.

As long as you are keeping everything together there is absolutely no problem and no gray area about it.
Apple does like to register Macs to a person or company, mostly for warranty reasons. They will change the registered owner upon request of the new owner.
The license number is not an activation like Windows Genuine Advantage, (WGA), its just a license number. It wont actually stop you from pirating it. It'll only complain if it see another SLS with the exact same number on the same local network.

You may have received a large WU. They are different sizes in folding. However, there points are relative to the size of the WU.

I will try to be a little more descriptive.
The interface resembled large folders, like the ones on the finder. They were pinkish and tan-ish.
Also, there were buttons for each application on the folders. These buttons were square. Hope this helps in finding out the name.
Also I believe that its name starts with a 'P'

I wonder how these companies got access to Apple's database. Why doesn't Apple keep better watch on it? And couldn't Apple just find out who's been accessing the database, and not allow connections from that source anymore? This all seems shady to me.
Most likely they didn't, and there is no DB breach. Numerous foreign carriers will unlock iPhones they sell to comply with local laws or to please their customers. They are probably going through one or more legit foreign carriers.

This is a total no-brainer. T-Mobile doesn't have it's own network, it rents its airtime from Cingular...
Excuse me... what planet did you say you lived on? T-Mobile has always had their own network. At one time they shared infrastructure with cingular in California and Nevada and T-Mobile shared their metro NYC market with cingular.

SLC BB. Total = 1. Sad really, I thought I would have company besides the homeless. It's ok though, I shared some of my breakfast burrito I had from McDee's.
Not bad at all. Hopefully it stays small like that until I can get there. I wonder how many they have. Keep the updates on the line coming.
