The applications you have installed on your Mac are taking up space, of course. You should uninstall them if you don’t need them—just open a Finder window, select Applications in the sidebar, and drag-and-drop the application’s icon to the trash can on your dock. Some of these applications can be taking up a ton of space. The Mac version was released in parallel with the PC version. It supported RAVE hardware acceleration as well as 3DFX's Voodoo, built-in software rendering and, later on, OpenGL rendering. RAVE acceleration support allowed the game to support hardware 3D acceleration with just about every Mac that included it.

With Messages Open go to System Preferences > Notifications and turn them Off for Messages (None).

Quit Messages.


Restart Messages and restart Notifications.


If that does not work Restart the computer between the Quit or Messages and the restart.
